Bologna, January 22-23
The opening meeting of the STRIVE project “STRengthening Internationalization of Vietnamese Emerging Universities” was held in Bologna, hosted by the AlmaLaurea Interuniversity Consortium.
25 representatives of the project partnership took part to the event: Rectors, Vice-Rectors, Presidents and Professors belonging to the four partner universities in Vietnam – University of Hanoi, Phu Xuan University, Quang Ninh University and National Academy of Public Administration – together with the European partners of Portugal and Italy, namely the University of Évora and the University of Tuscia.
The KOM was the occasion to present the project, its specific objectives, the target groups, the work packages description and project mobilities, to discuss the financial management and partnership agreement and introduce the sustainability framework and the dissemination outputs including the website and project logo. The meeting was the occasion to appoint the management bodies of STRIVE project: steering committe, quality committee and working group.
Furthermore, the importance of the STRIVE project as an occasion to facilitate access to Erasmus+ opportunities by newcomer universities, by reducing the internationalization gap among higher education institutions in the country was emphasized as well as the relevance of the capacity building activities and the trainings envisaged to improve the management competences and internationalization strategies of the beneficiary universities and the staff capacities in the preparation, implementation, monitoring and follow-up of international projects.
